Great use of these prompts Jen, and how you were able to interpret them in a way that came to this genre...as I would think that the prompt of "the inner voice" brought you into this genre, as with the voices of depression we harbour, and the others were tied in with this.

Whether you wrote from experience, (as I assume you did), or from another, it came to be that this piece resonated with me, and of course, all can be said is that once again, you brought emotion to a piece, wrote with a graceful, if somewhat saddened pen and therefore created a write that can be unique while cliche...

I love the way you used the promts here, excellent piece, emotion, style, all of it is amazing.

This is a nice poem about loneliness, as a consequence of not so good feelings that life might have generated, forcin someone to live on her (it's a female in this case) own platform, pretty much isolated from everybody else. But even so, she is yet to know that this platform only exists in her mind because there are still people who will approach her and make her feel good, and those who had given up on her weren't worth her time. Because it's just natural to go through harsh times in life and that needs to be accepted, because it's ok to feel bad about things at times and that doesn't mean that this same person who's isolated herself into her platform can't actually make you feel great once you get to know her.

And the beauty of it all is that she is a fragile crystal gem surrounded by an aura of melancholy, the same kind of aura that might keep some people away, too afraid to approach the gem and discover her hidden and secret treasures .... whose only beholder will be the one who can see things beyond, courageous enough to go through the stormy clouds, and revealing a beauty that was never known to others.
