MaryAnne, I'm shaking my head in disbelief over the way you used these prompts...I mean, what a poem, and from you...this has elements of darkness, and betrayal, the want and need for revenge, and it makes me ponder on the background for this story...

I always wonder when people write poems like this what they're motivation was, where the thought came from and what else the story holds that the poem cannot tell us, it leaves a reader with many questions, why was she hurt like this, and what does she want revenge from, her own hurt or something deeper.

The imagery was subtle, and not overly descriptive, enough to paint a picture but enough to leave me wondering and thinking...

and still, I can't get over the power and darkness in this piece, which is so unusual to me...
