Frogs and Other things that Burp

by Maple Tree   Jul 28, 2013

Burping and slurping my way through the straw
I find a new dimension, a traveling flaw.

Created and formed in style and fashion
burping and belching are created with passion.

Deep in the heart of a froggy, frogs heart
is a croaking belch, similar to a fart.

Silly are the sounds that spew from our throats
yet we belch and we squeak along with the goats.

I do not mind to hear such noises
for life is full of strange voices,
its not polite to release such explosions
but nature creeps in with pure belching potions.

So croak away with the frogs and toads
its ok to make sounds that pop and explode,
deep in the night when all is asleep
belch with your friends, the silly fluffy sheep!

' When in Rome, do what the Romans do ', best sums this up, very witty and great rhyming scheme.

Hahaha, this is right up my street Andrea, and made me smile...

The title made me think of a children's joke book, so that drew me in, but not only was it amusing and humorous, it was also very well penned (not that I expect anything less), but the rhymes were not forced, if somewhat cliche, but still it worked and the flow was pretty smooth throughout.

    Great piece...:) x

Nice and fresh... I liked it. It's not as disgusting as I thought it would be and it's funny. The comparision to animals I found a bit offensive at first but then felt it quite cool and imagined if people would really croak with frogs how it'd be... the comparision also helps in the advice on the moral side. I remember I had a teacher who said chewing gum made us look like grasing cows and it worked because no one wanted to look like a grasing cow. Great write!
