Ariel's Dream

by Marky   Jul 28, 2013

She was in my dreams that week, every night,
She looked like me, getting older every night.
Then the nights went blank and now they're back.
Now I'm sitting in a room and all is black.

There's a spot light over me,
and I'm just staring at her,
and just before I'm awake and free,
a boy approaches she calls him Spider.

But a voice echoes throughout my head,
Caleb it says and I'm filled with dread.
He's tall, dark with straight brown hair,
chocolate eyes but with a smile so fair.

I knew a lad once upon a time,
looked like Caleb, called himself mine.
When I think of the girl,
She has a head of red in curl.

My hair was red at that time,
and the lad I knew had curls so fine.
He was tall with hair brown,
and skin so dark, I had to frown.

I knew these kids I was seeing,
She had a soft voice, fleeting and freeing,
his were eyes as green,
as the lads eyes I've seen.

Her name resonates, but its never the same,
Clover at first and then Annabelle again.
And the lads eyes changed from brown to green,
so maybe its his future I've seen.

Marky::..

A sweet dream that has its dark edges, but promises of a life never lived. Forgive me, I couldn't help myself. Its like a dream I've had.

I remember. I think about it... more than I care to admit.

This dream still haunts me too.

I'm glad you remember, because it stirred something deep inside me. But maybe I'm making connections where there isn't any, but I still think about it too, a lot..
