This is the first time that evening settles down
And I could not write in the dark
Where is gone the creative spark
Which you ignited with red , green and brown
Dreams , and your rosy smile
I used to pile and pile
Memories sad, while with you in village and town
I walked in torn chappals and never alone.
We looked for the tree's dead roots
And for the flower shoots
Lupine and amaryllis towered over the ground
Looming silence round and round
Trailing lilies and jasmines ready to depart
The glowing moonshine pierced my heart
Raindrops descend slowly
I knew they were your pearly drops of tear
You wept all along, when I was so near!
*Amaryllis is an African flower and it means 'to Sparkle'
It also blooms indoor....
