The Threads of My Heart

by Marky   Jul 29, 2013

If a second in time was but a thread on a needle,
then time could sow up all holes in all hearts.
But if the hole in my heart was a thousand years big,
no amount of thread could heal that wound.

If the fibres of my heart were bound as fine as hair,
then each one is unravelled with a simple brush,
a sweep of your hand and they all fall apart.
but a sweet caress is all it takes.

If you held my heart in your hand,
what would it take for you to keep it.
Would it take the moment you brush it aside,
to realise its what you want deep down inside.

And you've inspired another write. If that pulls on your heart, imagine what the person who I wrote this about does to my heart.. Thanks x
