For Hellon, My Favorite Break Dancing Partner

by Larry Chamberlin   Aug 8, 2013

You reach
out to tag me
but I back leap
onto my hard hat
putting a spin on it
with outstretched arms:
my break dance getaway
which avoids getting wound up
with second guessing and recriminations.

I am the mouse with his son who became
self-winding in the children's tale;
when you think I'm down and
you have me trapped, I spin
away again with speed too
blinding to appreciate
unless you are as
wound up as
a top and
just as
free.

OMG...Larry!!!! I remember you saying how much you hated that song...I've got the moves like Jagger and all the time you were secretly practicing...no.. outdoing old Mick!!!!

That was totally funny....I have a vision in my head now that refuses to go away...it's of you, in the courtroom and...when you've just about sealed the case...you do a flip and spin around on your head like a top....do you wear a gown and wig while in court BTW....LMAO!

    Well done!
