by Daylight Lucidity   Aug 9, 2013

Relinquishing my grasp on a sturdy surface, I begin to wobble.
I've lost my way, no path guiding me home;
Where is home?

Might it hide somewhere tucked in a forest,
Or living preserved in my soul?

I do not know.

I stumble through darkness and am scraped by branches
Of trees reaching out to me. My wandering feet
Taking me to where my heart resides;

Nestled between her hands comfortably.

My home erupting from her open arms,
Welcoming me into a peaceful night.

    This poem is great because its hard to know where your true home is if you have a broken one. But I love the story here as it goes from hopeless to hopeful. The details you pen are amazing I can imagine the whole scene playing out as you wander through the trees lost and confused. You feel alone but the metaphor comes in and you find your true love.

    The darkness I love as you talk about depression. The past is scraping you and tearing you apart. Then your happiness comes out of nowhere. Her loving arms holding you tight. Your heart beating with bliss. I love the welcoming of open arms. The night can be hard on anyone but it shines brightest when your in love. I love the message of hope5/5
