It is me against the world, painting circles and incessant
shapes as I close my doors, calling you perfect, so quiescent.
Nothing left to lose as I search our attic for brief curses,
unlocking love with gladiola blossoms and cardboard verses.
Me against the world, am I soulless or will breath be my pen?
You entered my faded mind, singing like an enchanted wren
but why now do I believe in perfect illusions from my sin;
me against the world, since when have we become evanescent?
Honesty is expensive yet your fair art still rehearses
memory that maddens, me against the world.... goodbye again.

Not sure how I did but this was the hardest challenge by far and tried to do my best... had to edit quite a bit because I kept messing up the rhyme scheme but by that time I already had written most of it and didn't want to start over with another form!
Baby Rainbow's challenge from these random prompts:
unlocking love
perfect
me against the world
perfect illusions
circles
soulless
nothing left to lose
honesty is expensive
goodbye again
