Honesty

by Baby Rainbow   Aug 15, 2013

In a world full of confusion
where red only appears as anger
and grey is the only company,
a lonely victim silently hides
inside the coldest rainbow in the sky.

Yellow and blue both seem to exist
but only in the distance,
and never for her eyes to see.
Captured inside this torture,
honesty is hard to find.
She stares into the eyes of anger
and is forced to believe his lies.

Curled up tightly
in the damp corners of her mind,
she dreams of a place of safety
where only honesty exists.

And maybe this dream
will be her colour of hope
and keep her holding on.
For the lonely victim
she used to be
will soon transform,
becoming the brightest rainbow
in tomorrow's brand new sky.

    Wow what poem!!!
I love how you used some colors to send off your message how you blinded them with emotions.
Honesty is a key to many things.

The use of colour here really brought the poem to life I feel. Red is for the blood they bleed after the pass away. Being the victim is hard though because usually a life is taken way to early. Gray is a bland colour but I love how you describe it as what could be sadness or anything negative like that. Inside the coldest rainbow. ... I love this as it shows that this person is very beautiful but the scars and everything make people think she is ugly. The use of yellow and blue here are great because they are bright colours and that is what she wants in her world. Anger is hard to deal with. And I can understandwhy all she wants is honesty.

I love how you used damp corners of your mind. You bring the feeling that your mind is tired and cried yourself to sleep. But yet there is still hope inside as you I love the hope you have as tomorrow will bring a new life. The use of colours is awesome as you can use different colours for different things. You did such a great job of using different emotions to build up hope at the end. 5/5
