My burned out light

by UtterlyAlive   Aug 19, 2013

I loved you
With all my heart
to the end
And from the start

You made me happy,
You made me smile,
Something I hadn't done,
For quite awhile

When all I saw was darkness,
You gave me light,
You stood up for me,
And fought my fight

I stopped my cutting,
Just for you,
I didn't think,
That was something I could do

you meant the world to me,
Because you didn't care,
About my problems,
Or how I did my hair

You liked me for me,
My troubles and all,
I never thought,
That we could fall

Through my tears,
And through my sorrow,
You gave me a reason,
To live tomorrow

But now it's gone,
And so are you,
I don't know what,
I'm suppose I do

So I'll turn,
To what I hate most,
My beautiful knife,
Which haunts me like a ghost

It helps me live,
One more day,
And makes my pain,
Go away

But it leaves scars,
Dancing across my skin,
Reminding me,
Of every sin

And now I'm left,
Wondering why,
Why I live,
When I could die?

Why be here tomorrow,
To cry more tears,
When I could be gone,
And rid of my fears?

So maybe I'll do that,
I'll die tonight,
I wasn't much to you,
But you were my light

    My very first expression after reading this poem: wow;
as you talked about each and everything you felt, so well.
Though it was long(you could have stopped it in few stanzas) yet rhyming did so well.
But the bonus part was the use of short stanzas - so quickly to read and didn't interrupt the flow- I loved it.

Well, I really got lost in your writings, indeed a reflection of your inner pains and your innocent affections towards you loved one !

The journey is well-described, in a desciplined writing formats(paragraphs maintained). Was simplified to read. It can be even made better if you further add some expressions and exclamations & punctual mark. The language you used is quite simple and solved.

    Pardon my theories and literature,
    Apart-
There a better Tommorw Waiting, Do you know what ? Nor do I know !
    Live To Live It !

    Appreciated,Would love to read more..
But Next time a Joyous one ! ;)
