The Jolly Mister Music

by Xandra   Aug 21, 2013

Oh Mister Music
You are always looking so sad now a days
never quite so merry as you were before
With the heat of the summer came your illness
With your illness came the loss of your voice
The loss of your song

How can you cope with loss of song
The answer is simple; you cannot
Your song is as substantial as the oxygen you breathe
This, surely, is why you look so blue
Although you wear a mask of merriment,
I can see some of the light has left your eyes

Oh Mister Music
Remember how we all used to laugh
You made melodies come alive for so many of us
Our voices all danced through the air playfully
joined by your laughter
Always jolly, full of life, full of love

It is hard to see you now
I feel the depression radiating off of you
The depression that has replaced your warm light
You are my mentor and my friend
I promise to remember you always as the ever jolly
Mister Music

I like this. Its more like a story, a sad story that is but anyways, a real nice story to read. Simple and without the complicated things, well, nothing wrong with having complicated things in a poem but what I mean is, this is written just right, in my opinion that is. :)
