The Storm

by WritingtheStars   Aug 21, 2013

I told you during The Calm
that the storm was coming.
I could see
the rainclouds up ahead
that seemed to be invisible
to everyone else.
They never believed me,
now the storm
is pouring down.
Tragedies
and huge mistakes
are raining down on us.
Did you see the flash of light?
That was the torment,
count how many seconds
until the malicious laughter
to see how far
from you it is.
The wind is picking up,
as is the misery.
Stay indoors,
this storm may
harm you.
I did warn you,
now I just need to
make it through
this storm with my life.
Though that is
easier said than done.
The skies may be
clearing up
ever so slightly,
but trust me
the storm is
nowhere close to
being finished with me.
