Holding Onto You.

Allow me to push you forward,
push me back,
dust away the "I don't belong here"
and all of the "I can't come to you being
this unclean"
because I've had these three days
where I've been alright,
there is still a battle sounding
but you have spoken

and I need to listen
for your praise needs to be heard.

It's your voice that lights up the world
and your inspiration that makes us
go ahead, continuing the day
with our hearts open,
still afraid but seeing what you
have always had within-
love for us wherever we
try and run to or return from.

Allow me to keep understanding
how I can hold onto you better.

    This is a very deep poem if you see the deeper meaning of it. I'm gonna try to break it down. I know we all carry baggage and thats where the unclean line comes in. We all have our up and down days so I loved the three alright days line followed by the battle line. We never truly know what someone is going through at all. Sometimes we dont even know for ourselves. We have to love people for who they are no matter what. We all need to be better listener's though. Your praise needs to be heard.... I loved this line too because it shows how much you care. You think so highly of this person that you want people to hear something.

    Something so simple as a voice can light up any world when you care. When we feel inspired it really does make our hearts more open and we are willing to write more or do anything else that day. I agree with your line we are always afraid to show what we have inside to another person. That is why friendships and love is tricky. We want to run away but we always see ourselves in the other person. We don't want to fade away from that person so we try so hard to keep their heart and our heart whole. I love the deeper meaning. 5/5
