All my poems are about you

by Sally May   Aug 22, 2013

None of these words will erase you
I can write everyday for the rest
Of my life but they won't take you away.

It's almost like a burden I carry,
A lost love and broken heart.
Restless faith and a running mind.

I have nothing left in me anymore.
I was right before, when you left
You took all of my love with you.

But I'm tired
Tired of hoping
Tired of holding on
Tired of questioning my sanity
And yet there's something inside
Me that won't give up
No matter how hard I try,
It's love
