Uncompleted.

by Poet on the Piano   Aug 24, 2013

There is someone my age, your age,
who has pushed forward the date
of their death.

Wikipedia is a reference point
for those who are curious, for those
who wish to grieve, for those who
want to do research...
but what about the lost ones
who weren't photographed,
who only had their own
thoughts to write to.

I never thought you'd have to be notable
to make a list of suicides.

They are not fallen too far,
they're not going to hell,
I believe they can still be saved,
that someone is reaching for them
right now.

And I feel incomplete for not
being able to ever glue together
the names of those who were
hurt, those who had an uncompleted
journey made,

for they decided a destination
was better than a silence.

Sometimes, I feel that you take too much upon you and this poem reminded me of that.

specially, the part about feeling incomplete

So many things are happening around the world and there''s not much one can do, yet we feel like there should be more that we could do.

Very impressive piece, somehow this relates of archive-less memories of those who are forgotten or people who have not care, Your word of wikipedia does a greater impact to the whole story, because you have to make it though pretty difficult the gap where wikipedia and other references were unable to document their untold stories. Your idea about this piece is pretty amazing. well done
