My Slumber

by Andrew Packard   Aug 27, 2013

Day break days end Slain slaves to master
Coded to go on but you must mend

Troubled waters Splash shaves to razor
Driven by the dawn but you are dead

Oh my Slumber, what a terrible love to pine for
What a beautiful girl to try for
When she flies away

Oh my Slumber, she plays with my emotions
Splashes in my ocean
Of black and white and colors and grey

Come Tomorrow She cleaves safe harbor
Flipping through the texts you never send

My slumber Suffrage crushing curdled ice
Knowledge twisting cancelled dice

Oh my Slumber, What a beautiful girl to try for
what a terrible thing to pine for
When she runs away

Oh my slumber, I lay by her with weeping
I Watch her while she's sleeping
She drifts away to play

My slumber Traverses
Rainbowed and colored from within
She fades away again
