The fight

by marcus   Aug 27, 2013

She said she was the foundation of my life, I told her realistically she was a stepping stone to happiness.

I left and she found someone the same day, Sounds like just a lay, that's a game I won't play

I'm better for leaving, while she is still seething, I'm happier than ever, who gives a damn about her feelings.

Trust is a broken secret, like love is a lost bet, faith is a false prophet and hope is a never to regret.

My Eyes see brighter days, my heart see's darker nights, my brain keeps the latter at bay, while my pride keeps me in the fight.
