When the night goes still the monsters come out the darkness swells as they roam aboutthey hide in the alleys and are dark as night if you happen by them they'll give you a frightYou'll see them lurking as midnight draws near when you're on your own they'll fill you with fearThe fear of what's coming the fear of what's not before you know it you will be caughtWithout a doubt you will be killed while the monster's stomach will be filledBut it won't be fast no it won't be quick they won't eat you up with just one lickThey'll tear you apart bit by bit from the inside out they'll create a pita pit of despair a pit of longing one with no love with no belongingthey'll feed your fears and inspire more with the monster's help you will wage warBut not on others no that's not the way you'll wage war on yourself it's you you'll betraySo watch where you're walking the monsters are there heed this warning Beware.
