Bored to death

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 5, 2013

An athlete from down under
May not have heard the thunder
That came from the barrel of a gun
While heathen psychos shot for fun

I want to hang my head in shame
They did not even know his name
Now a race will have to take the blame
When needless killing becomes a game

Idleness is the devil's playground
What goes around comes around
A bullet does not discriminate
Or rid the world of its random hate

It really is sad how much hate the world is failled with. What is the point. No one truly knows why we kill or the need for it. People who shoot for fun make me sad because there is no reason to. I love how you feel about this though. It is full of emotion and I can see the heart and your awesome opinion on such things. In the mind of others it really is all a game. The devils game really. No a bullet does not care what it hits at all. And this world is full of hate. I love the strong message you bring. 5/5

Bored to death... they should instead write or do something productive instead of taking someone's lives just for fun...

It's a sad poem but well written. It leaves one with a sour taste for its theme but also thinking. 5/5
