    And to write you go!

keep it up, and the words will flow as smooth as the currents in a dry river right after the rain came to refreshed it and filled it up with words.

This is a great poem and I understand it well because we all go through writers block. I was there for a while until I finally wrote one. But despite that, this is an excellent example of a simple poem that is flowing well with emotions from inside a soul. 5/5

    Hello,

firstly, thank you for reading and commenting on my poem. Cats are so funny! lol

secondly, I would like to return the comment...

I want to write so badly,
    ^

I feel like this. I want to write, but sometimes do not know where to start or feel inadequate.

    put pen to paper again...
    ^
I like this line, it flows from the last and the '...' allows a pause for thought.

    Feel the beauty of words,
    how they refresh like rain.
    ^
after the pause the words, beautiful and refreshing and a simile of refreshing, 'rain'. The imagery this conjures for me is a person standing in the summer rain, face looking to the heavens.

    How they restore my soul,
    make each day brand new,
like a sunny day, or morning dew.
    ^
Great description here. Words and the writing of them is a release allowing pent up feelings out, much like feeling new again.

    This poem I am penning,
is a little utterance I know,
hope my pen will gleam again
    and my words to flow.
    ^
This last section will resonate with all writers. We are unsure if our writing is good enough. Will it gleam once more, well...

    it does.

    Well done.

    Take care,

    Michael

Thank you so much Michael for your comment. It has greatly encouraged me! :)
And maybe, just maybe I may start writing again after so long a time!

      Thank you once again.

P.s You express in your comments PRECISELY what I wanted the poem to be! :))

And I love that I conveyed the image of the rain to your mind as the way I wanted.

      I'm a " happy puppy!" :D lol

      Thank you,
      Olwin

Well done. You have written a beautiful piece about writing and it's cold off well. You wrote it with such beauty and it flows well.
The last few lines stand out to me as I stopped writing a few years ago and only just started up again a couple of weeks ago and my feeling were the exact same.. Are my pieces going to be 'good enough etc etc,' but you know what if you try your best then they are always good enough :)

    Take care, Em
