Jelly

Today, I made a sandwich
it was soft and sweet,
and filled with jelly.

Although I made a mess
with jelly everywhere,
it was delicious
even after it hit the floor.

The cat licked it up,
purring all the while.
Though it was filling
it did make me smile.

It's messy,
and gooey
and all over my hands

But I ate it,
with a relish
that should be
banned.
