The Burning Paper

by Alice   Sep 7, 2013

I'd really really like comments. Please? Pretty please?

OOoooOO

How many a times did I beg and plead,
To release me from my atrophied
Yet you came menacing and red hot
And blotched on me a big black dot.
Another pounce on my pale smooth back
You razed what's left of my cu-de-sac
You reduced me to this handful of ash,
Oh now what's with all this balderdash?
You chose to burn me all the same
Although I begged you, you cruel flame!

This is a very sad deeper meaning behind this poem. It seems like you are saying you burned yourself and its sad. I love the wording that you used though because you made it seem subtle. Depression really can turn you to ash so to speak though. It can leave you and make you feel like nothing at all. I love how the flame you speak of can be represented as something deeper and that could be sadness at least I think so. The decribing words are great. I love how you used every line to connect and say how this flame has hurt you. I would change nothing 5/5
