I held you like fine rain

by Merdy   Sep 7, 2013

You walked out into the cold rain, you said you were used to coming and going in the rain... This language expressed the solitude of a woman, her disappointment, and her necessary self reliance.

I couldn't help but wonder if those raindrops came from man made torrents...

I was not able to deal with your strength of will, just as I had no answer for your solitude and your disappointment. Later you sent a letter saying that you caught a bad cold from the rain, but that it was a small price for a moment of happiness. I read the letter, and turned it over and read the other side. The back was white and empty.
