Flowing Down the Jordan

by blindlover   Sep 8, 2013

My love glistens like
the morning dew, through
the iris of my heart.

The beginning
of our journey fueled
my desire to breathe.

I was an endangered species
progressing into extinction.

Until the day
I saw the wing span
of an angel.

Surrendering his heart for
the happiness I've never
been able to grasp.

I could see the fire
in his eyes burning
with passion to devour
my pain.

As the tears flush my cheeks,
the fluttering of butterflies
gorged deep in my soul.

I finally felt free from the agony,
free from the animosity,
free to soar through life,
with a smile I didn't have to fake.

He makes the climb
even higher, motivating me
to keep going.

The tranquility in his voice
purifies my mind and
relieves my anxiety,
making the climax attainable.

The serenity of his touch
electrifies my blood,
sending shock waves throughout
my heartstrings
forevermore.

The hunger of his love is
what I yearn for,
for all eternity.

(*Canada*) Thank you for your inspirational words.

Absolutely beautiful and breath taking! I'm in awe.

In the second line, I think you wanted to write dew but if I read closer due works in a different way.

This was very uplifting and has left me with a glow!

    Kudos to you.
