I love the two tones I can feel from this poem..the exclamation points usually mean anger or sarcasm, but for you its almost there to further your point on how much this person means to you. How badly you want them to understand that....then I feel a sensual feeling, a soft sweet touch of romance...

I loved the calendar metaphor here, and the time, its creative...

In life you come to realize that
you don't always win, and in rare
times a loss becomes an answer
to your salvation. And yes, I did
lose that day, but I lost my past
for a present with you.

^ This was my favorite stanza though...I love how this loss was also a gain....
