On My Own

by Eric Chandaragga   Sep 12, 2013

Here I am once again
At the end of this road
Nowhere to go nowhere to turn
Gotta find my way back home
Stroke of midnight, stuck at the red-light
Contemplating which way to go
I need a sign, I need to go, I need to know

Tracing back to the past of the path I took
Did I take the wrong turn, say the wrong words
How do I go back?

The sun will set
Shadows fall
Left me here, I feel so small
Against the world I am
My heart can't break
It's just too strong
Don't worry about me
Cuz i'll move on
Against the world
On my own

What happened to love
The water ran dry
I'm trying to smile so I don't cry
This is the end, where to begin
A fresh new start, I know I can win
Gotta find my way back to good
No more should've, no more could've, and no more would've

Tracing back the steps of the path I didn't take
Did I go too far, did i go too long
How did I end up here?

The sun will set
Shadows fall
No regrets, I'll give my all
Against the world I will
I can't be stopped
No matter what
Don't even try
Cuz I will find
A way to win
Against the world
On my own
