Maybe

by Eric Chandaragga   Sep 12, 2013

I've heard the fairytales and happy endings
But I'm left with no story, pages blank and empty
Maybe one day I'll find my queen
I know she's out there waiting for me
Maybe I have to travel the seven seas
I've been waiting so patiently
To meet the girl of my dreams

I might not be her type
But maybe she might
Just take a chance on me

I've been loved and hurt before
Now I'm left with stories, pages ripped and torn
Maybe one day she'll be the one I adore
I know she'll mend the heart left on the floor
Maybe I'm just a prisoner of this war
I've been reaching out for more
To meet the girl behind the closed door

I might not be her type
But maybe she might
Just take a chance on me

I've let love in and threw it out the window
I left the story, pages left untold
Maybe one day she'll catch my throw
I'll know then to take it slow
Maybe all I have to do is say Hello
I've been ready long ago
To meet the girl I already know

I might not be her type
But maybe she might
Just take a chance on me
