Unwritten Script

by Eric Chandaragga   Sep 12, 2013

So I see you sitting there at that table
Wondering if I'm on your mind
Tell me do you believe in fairytales or fables
Or maybe you believe in love at first sight
I was waiting for the chance you were alone
So I can get a chance with you
Yesterdays are over, just let it go
Maybe we can both start brand new

We'd be together if this were a movie
Laying on the beach just you and me
Watching the sun set, smiling at each other
Knowing this time it wouldn't end
We'd be together if this were a movie
I'd walk a thousand miles just to see you
Waiting in the rain as the night passed through
Knowing this night was the beginning

I noticed that I might go unnoticed
But what can I do to change your mind
Just to hold your hand, just for a kiss
Maybe I'll tell you what I want this time
Now that you're alone why am I waiting
Scared to take a chance to be with you
My feelings for you I keep hiding
But maybe it's me you see right through

We'd be together if this were a movie
Laying in an open field with the stars as our light
Watching the stars shoot pass us
Knowing we'll pass on the wish tonight
We'd be together if there were a movie
I'd have the perfect line to say
You'd fall for me in just a day
Knowing this time someone's there to catch you

But we both know this isn't a movie
This is the script we were given
Maybe we aren't meant to be
But maybe we can change the unwritten
Because this isn't a movie
