It Was My Turn

by noodles84   Sep 16, 2013

I was hurt, I was scared and I was lost.
I ran and ran and then i met you...

I wanted nothing to start
but you soon had my heart.

I would have give you all,
always been there for my Paul.
In sickness and health,
through being poor and any wealth.

It was my turn...
it was my turn to have a family,
it was my turn to be a bride,
it was my turn to have a home and a husband
it was my turn to be happy and be with my soulmate.

Ha! all it was was my turn to cry,
my turn to want to die.
to mourn, to grieve, to wish i'd never.
Now i chose to be alone forever.

I like the feeling / heart behind your words.

The writing in the last paragraph / sonnet is a little bit off though.

Overall I still like it :-)
