Poetic Love

by Love Fallacy   Sep 17, 2013

Deep inside the tears I've cried
true emotion is found.
Hidden away for another day
escape without a sound.

Try again to make a friend
but will she even care.
You walked on by, caught my eye
and chose my heart to spare.

Rekindled love sent from above
now she holds my hand.
Eternal mark left in the park
four footprints in the sand.

Time has passed, but our love lasts
poetically it seems.
I've prayed for years and faced my fears
is this all a dream?

Withered old, your hand turns cold
we made it to the end.
A dream come true to be with you
Forever my best friend.

This poem is beautifully written! Your choice of
words made this a smooth rhyming piece filled with emotions. Its hard to write a poem which makes sense and at the same time make it perfectly rhyme without any hiccups..good job!

The rhyme and flow is spot on,
it reads like a verse from a birthday card and is flawless in my opinion.
because of this I am nominating this piece.
    (good luck)

Problem is most people on this site turn their noses up at rhyming poetry. But a piece as good as this deserves recognition.

    well done.
