I keep seeing pictures
painted in my head
one is filled with beauty
thee other dread
a spirit of love
portrayed in light
where thee other
is veiled in darkness
within a field of fire
something of a dream
consealed in shades of
evergreen trees
a balance of life
separates
darkness from light
beauty most dignified
there amongst
the mountain side
then a flash of fate
takes me to
a darker place
he's waiting for me there
hoping
I'll change my ways
looking to devour
whom ever stands
in his way
flames dance about
beneath the road
as the surrounding
beauty unfolds
the trees
wither
the mountain
crumbles
as he falls
before me
an angel of
great beauty
a deception of light
until he transformed
into a demonic sight
I told him
I always
knew
only the eyes of
love
can see
right through you
there he cackles
as he vanished
from sight
for he knew
he'd never
win this fight
