Wheels, Motion, Tuning

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 26, 2013

People
like us
choose
to be
lost but
loved,
black
and blue,
alone yet
charging
toward
a place
to hold
words.

Inside our
houses,
blood
drips
straight
from
the hearts
of soldiers.

We are
(not)
all alone.

Absence
of the mind?
No, absence
of any
panic at
the back
of our
throats.

-

Wanted to do something fresh and see something different, therefore I did a few words in each line.
Here are the prompts from Baby Rainbow's challenge:

people like us
lost but loved
black and blue
the house that dripped blood
we are all alone
straight from the heart
absence of the mind

I like how it started but the ending got me. It was the tone.
The line breaks made it easier to read. I enjoyed it.

    I won't forget that ending.
