This was simple but surprisingly deep and effective also. I think there was some confusion when you said they are and were always there for you, but then they let go and aren't there anymore. Maybe this is a paradox or maybe it indicates the person you are referring to has passed away. I think it was a heartfelt poem with decent word choice and it works well. I particularly like the honesty in the beginning when you say you are just you: I think it makes it more relatable and also powerful as a result. Keep it up and welcome to PnQ
