Haze

by Alanis   Sep 28, 2013

The trunks of the trees were like the
teeth of a breaching whale,
as it begged for a breath of
this vile polluted air. Tiny match box
houses surrounding this bitter-filled
haze, but they too looked abandoned
and misplaced among the jungle of trees
that provided an evergreen glow. I searched
For you in the wreckage, my soul purging
At the border line. This town plagues my
Existence, yet your heartbeat brings me closer.
I scour the city for your essence, I look under every
Rock for the answer but nothing remains.
I seek your refuge, I beg for your presence.
You serenade my name in death defying blows.
You gratify me in absence. Fly to me my mocking
Bird, whisper secrets into my careful ears.
Follow me deeper, deeper into my own despair.

This is another interesting write here. I like how in the first few lines you build up to something as it seems like there is destrcution in the town or maybe even in your heart. I think you also might be say that the world is a wreckage without your love or this person. In this world you are looking for this person and don't know to find them at all. This poem might be based on reality as it shows how much you care for love.

This town you do not like as you are away from your love. I think having them in your heart is wonderful andthats what matters. You cannot find them anywhere but your hearts are connected as one inside and that is a bond you cannot break. You just want to be close with them to cure all the sadnesz you feel inside. The sernade part is very sweet and sensual. This is very personal to you and again you can feel the love. You want to fly free but since they love you so much they are wanting to heal you. I love this poem as it says so much. Xx5
