- Lovely wording here... there is a gentleness already, as well as a reverence in a way about this pure song. I liked how you wrote and capitalized "zephyr" instead of just saying "the wind", definitely made it more personal.

to write a poem
about sunsets
and how those butterflies
promise to never return."

- Never heard anything quite like this... the idea of being chosen to write a poem is intriguing, emphasizes the gift it is as well as duty. We must fill those words with meaning. This reminded me of "butterfly promise" like a vow that is fleeting. And how butterflies, in the end, do not stand for something everlasting but wish to move with nature. Maybe this signifies change or growth? Or that they are fearful?

Pathway Full of Azaleas,
your poetry is ephemeral.
Your words are caged
in an hour-glass.
And as it keeps on flipping,
you are believing that
the Azalea in your heart
will never wilt..."

- "Ephemeral" is a gorgeous word. There's something more deep and mournful about that word other than saying short-lived. It stresses how tragic that time lost really is. I do believe "hour-glass" should be "hourglass". Very clear image of words being trapped there. Good connection with time.

Also noticed here how you used the present tense, which made it more of a highlight to me about how this person is still having hope, whether naive of them or not, this heart will move on, stay...

- Simple words, but you tie what you wrote earlier in quite well. A promise to never return. That could means so many things. Never return to a love, to your past...

before these Azaleas

the Azalea in your heart bloom."

- Felt more of your voice speak here and express your character giving this consolation, this contribution about the way in which we approach our own azaleas and take care of them.

Honestly, in the last two stanzas, I felt you repeated Azalea too much. You already mentioned "Pathway Full of Azaleas" once, and I think it could have been stronger if you didn't repeat that so much. Makes it more able to be cherished.

when I can walk with you again
in a Pathway Full of Azaleas.
And finally,
your written words
will become an Azalea
that is eternal."

- I like how here you affirm your connection to this "you", even though it is still a mystery to the reader, there is something intimate here. A journey lost, a journey you want to walk with this person again. I absolutely love the grace of the ending. From what you have expressed earlier about true poetry not being in written words to having this faith that written words can transform into something eternal.

A peaceful, thoughtful poem. Wanted to lastly note the structure is easy to read and flows nicely. Good job.

I'm not exactly sure if I understood correctly but what I gathered is that the passion for writing is not the same as it used to. Hence, it's sad. You feel like you have to write but what you to write cannot be fully finished. the (may I say) inspiration? doesn't last for too long, though you still wish to continue writing and feel like creating a poem that is eternal. An Azalea.

I may be totally off, but I enjoyed the read.
