And we tightened our knot through time
Fearing became harder to do

Some where along the way
We traveled from friendship
To like two shy people afraid to say how they feel
Then becoming the couple who cared but were still labeled as 'only friends'
Before our heart's eyes transferred to girlfriend and boyfriend
And to each call's delight
Became engaged
And now here
At the alter
In front of the priest
Reciting our vows
Now we travel further
Into marriage life
A new beginning
Tears in her eyes
She step forward
Now beside him
He grabs her hand
She squeezes his tight
Nothing in that world or the next
Could tear them apart
She would never let go
"Forever" he whispers
As she looks him in the eyes

A tear flowing down her cheek
Happiness bursting through her
Overpowering every other thought
But to be with him
To give him everything
To spend every minute with him
Let their love grow to unreachable heights
She squeezes his hand again
As he says I do
The train on her dress reflecting the light through the stain glass windows
Her feet barely visible
Her face nicely hidden behind a long white veil
Covering her entire face
But faintly he can see through the thin clothe
And she tries to mask her nervousness
At being a new bride
Until it becomes her turn
As everything falls into place
And a sensation of right and belong flows through her veins
From her healed feet to her fingertips
The I do comes so easily to her lips
Released into the air
One of the best decisions I will ever have made
Alongside our meeting
And our twelve kids arrival
The he gentle pulls her veil back over her face
Brushing his hand's back against her cheek
And sliding one arm behind her back
His hand pressing against the back of her
And pulling her towards him
As his other hand holds lovingly onto her neck
Her hands find his face
And her fingers spread across his cheeks
Holding tenderly
And love engulfing them
Passion running through their lips as they meet
Embracing their journey together
As they become one
One flesh
