Promise to Love once again

No one could really read the future
even when they believe in such great things
Maybe it's a goal or dream
promises will always be a simple thing
One could believe that love will forever stream
only to find it waste upon the time stream

One could shed tears that seem never ending
constantly reminded of their failures and mistakes
from such a simple and broken glass piece
no one could promise to love once again
when they have already lost everything
to someone who held onto their belief
of true love

Constantly living in the past dream
hoping for the goal and future to be different
making promises for change in life
only to be constantly repeating that same old feeling
of what it felt like to lose
the one they love
and never trust love once again
a dark promise that we sometimes make to ourselves
when our tears are dry and the scars are left alone
