Witness

by Alanis   Oct 5, 2013

I cannot bear the pain of your witnesses, your sad, sorrowful defeat. I watch as the ocean serenades the rusty shore. My heart
Bounds forward in a loud painful thump. I search for you in every wave, I serenade you in every wisp of wind that gushes through my hair. I scream for you with every sun ray that beats upon me, I look for your remains in the clouds that pass above. I have yet to find a cause, I have yet to be shackled.
