I know how hard this time is for you, and I know Autumn will never be the same again, but it can still be beautiful, just remember all the times before and remember they were memories made to cherish.

It's heartbreaking that all of the beauty of fall is now a total dark season for you, they say poets understand all emotions of life better then anyone and this is proof.
Something so tragic can create something so beautiful.
Your words hit me hard as autumn was also a dark time for me. Your a true poetess and an inspiration to everyone.

The second stanza had my heart drowning then the last verse just stopped it.

Fall,
Where did your colors go?
Leaves of amber and magenta sprouted from brittle limbs
when I was a girl and Maple, she made sure to leave crisp
remnants in a pile for me after school. Bright colors and brown
barks were pearls against the sky's decolletage'.

All I can say is WOW - I love how you began this poem with just one word and then build up so much detail with rhetorical questions as well as the detailed descriptions of the leaves, colours and the season of fall itself.

I'd like to know why my cheeks are not kissed with the sting
