Tidal Wave of Resentments Recourse

by Poetic Ninja aka Papachopchop   Oct 12, 2013

When you feel the flicker of the flame,
As your relationship withers away,
Is there anything left that words can say?
Or am I to watch as everything is out of place.
I feel it in everything around me in every way,
Even the colors of my world have begun to fade back to grey,
Is this repairable? Will I ever get what I lost back one day?
I think not because of your trust, I might betray,
But now I'm left with this shell of a girl,
The outcome of numerous fights resulting in your emotional fade,
Remember the couple we were when we used to go to the lake?
Isn't that the relationship we are trying to make?
Or is that an illusion or maybe my memories mistake.
Truth is I don't know that I know anything anymore,
I just know I am caught the riptide of the tidal wave
Of all the times I have misbehaved,

"The outcome of numerous fights resulting in your emotional fade," great descriptional text but still holding relevance-

Forced rhyming took away from the write, but fantastic work.
