I like the simplicity in this piece. Its nice to read 'misc' poems every now and then, I find them refreshing because the topic is always random.

We often write about the art of writing, but not the art of playing...well that is if youre musically talented :)

I envy your piano skills, and I envy your poetry about it....must be cool to be an artist in more ways than one!

Really love that opening stanza by the way. I enjoyed the way you used 'hieroglyphic' and 'chafe'....just an interesting opening.

    Well done :)

    Carpe Diem: Sieze the day...

I love the way this was written, it was melodic and that made me smile. Sometimes we don't see what is before us, but this is such a beautiful piece, it makes me reflect on so much,

We share a passion for music, although there is not a tuneful bone in my body, unlike you, miss bucketful of talent

This is a very beautiful poem Maryanne. I agree with Tara here. You do seem to seize the day so to speak. You want to overcome your fears maybe as you open your window. I think that was my favorite part. You want the world to hear what you play. I also love the part where you talk about singing and dancing then writing about it :). I think we are all fearless when we are alone but it does take so much courage when all eyes are upon you. I love how you seem to say that even if someone is listening it doesn't matter anymore. It only matters what you think. This is very bbeautiful indeed . :)
