You're My Tomorrow

by -Choke-On-MY-Halo-   Oct 15, 2013

Today is like any other
Boring and dull
Void of joy&of sunlight

Till I met you life was my corpse
Moonlight fills my nights now
You're my tomorrow

Stars were born in your eyes
Poets wrote about you my sweet Aphrodite
Silver&gold couldn't compare to what treasure you are

My days are not filled with hope
A corpse no more
Holding hands&endless love
You my love are my tomorrow

A/N this poem I wrote yesterday because I was outside under the moon and stars and I thought about the one woman that I loved and I made this poem to honor her and what our love meant to me

Okay. I really like this poem for a few reasons. First of all its very heartfelt and emotions here are great. You pull the reader in. The no punctuation I like as well because it gives it more of a flow and easier to read.

The message is strong though. The wording is really thought out. You bring to life the darkness you have inside at the start of the poem. I think there are always periods of time when we feel no love at all. Then love kind of just happens. And it changes our lives forever. You captivate us by describing the mixed emotions that were fighting inside you. I like the line "moonlight fills my nights". It seemed like no light filled your life at all until you met your love. Then it all changed and every dark spot became lit.

I don't love the capital letters in the start of each sentence. To me it hurts the poem. And doesn't go well with the flow. But that's just me. Cute poem otherwisr . 5/5
