Flying High

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 16, 2013

If home is where the heart is
and your soul is flying high,
the memory in my mind
has no reason left to die
If tears are where my eyes are
and saline is in my veins
my vision can see so far
that heaven surely reigns
To all of the broken hearted
and thoughts they hold so dear
Spirits soar dearly departed
in a place there is no fear

Everyone believes in different things in their lives and this is such a sorrowful tone. You are a man of God you can tell that in this poem. This person you write about much have been a beautiful soul and as you write they are in heaven. The title fits so very well. I believe you say that his soul is flying high and his heart is in a safe and new home. I think even in such a sad tragedy there can be hope even in death actually. If they have their heart with God that is. The last lines are so touching. In death you do go to a place where there is no fear. This again is such a touching write and you make such a beautiful dedication. Keep writing.
