Where Angels Fear

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 17, 2013

Cracks in the ceiling start to appear
as she has her first dance with loneliness.
Black holes form on the abandoned floor
beneath her trembling feet.

Reflections of guilt and shame flicker
through her eyes like strobe-lights;
blinding her to the beauty that others see.

She underestimates the power
of her own heart, and the hearts of
those who love her.

But she comes from a place
where angels fear;
fear to be noticed,
fear to be loved,
and fear to be free.

    The title catches your eye at least it did for me :). So that's always great. I love angels and its sad when they fall. you make your poems touching and I think each reader wants to help or save the characters in them. This is very touching. You say this person is a fallen angel from her own heart. The past and even her own life is falling before her eyes and there is nothing you can do to stop it. There is such a beauty to this person and you personalized her. Again. It seems it can be related to a real life. Very sad and touching. Great write:).
