Incomplete Jigsaw

by Baby Rainbow   Oct 19, 2013

How will I ever be able to heal my deepest wounds,
when I can't even begin to understand how they got there?

(Is it even possible to forgive the ones who stole
my childhood, when I can't even forgive myself?)

As time passes by, I find myself falling further
inside the black abyss of hopelessness.

I have become a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces;
the kind that can't even be sold in second-hand shops.

Who could ever love someone that will never be complete?
(Someone who has never loved themselves.)

And tell me, where do all these jigsaws go,
when people realise they are incomplete?

    First two lines- I like this because it's very relatable. The question is how do you heal and that's something only you can figure out I believe. Who really knows how they got there. Life is very difficult and we always get hurt by something. The key is to be yourself no matter what and that way you can start to heal. Anyway I love how you started this because you set it up well for the rest of the poem.

    3/4th lines- Can you forgive? Of course you can but it's so hard to do. I think it's harder to forgive yourself though. But I think that's the point we must find ourselves in life to truly live how we want to. Again I love the question you asked because it goes so well with the tone of this that you wrote.

    5/6th- these are very sad because I think we all fall before we get back up. With the padt memories we have it's even worse. They say time heals all wounds be I think that's long term. I think what you mean here is that short term it hurts so much. I like darkness you provide here because you keep falling into nothingness and thats what you wanted to say I think :).

    7th-end- I love the rest of this poem because you say it so well. Your heart might be the jigsaw puzzle and it is not incomplete. I think that in time someone will love you for who you are no matter what. I think you can live a very full life if you try. :). I'd bet you are loved by many people and in time you will heal. Again I love the wording you used though sad sends a strong message.b great write
