Rainy season

by Ole Carsten   Oct 23, 2013

Cocoon season is coming up now,
The town and streets are covered in water,
Even skeletons and ghost don't walk,
The sidewalks are empty in the rain.

Does it rain on the moon?, it's seems,
In the morning streetlights,
Is coloring the spiders nest through,
the marigold raindrops instead of bugs.

Nature is gasping for oxygen,
Underneath the pale moon,
I am walking the rainy streets,
In this light I am without a shadow.

The fashion has change to umbrellas,
Or people are cocooned in plastic,
My fingers are wet and numb,
Nature are whispering, go home.

The leafs are colorful now,
The chlorophyll has gone leaving sleeping trees,
I am walking in colors to my knees,
Dogs are barking at me pressing me home.

I am longing for laughter and smiles,
As I am walking the empty pavements,
Knowing I will cocoon indoor soon,
I will fill my mug with steaming hot tea.

I'll light the rooms with hundreds of candles,
Soon I am wishing the clock would move faster,
Please fill the plane and take off with me,
I drop my cocoon and spread my love out for you.
