Suicide

Seriously?
They laugh over a serious tragedy
Calling the person crazy
Making them seem like a monster
When really society is a beast in it of itself.
She took all 30 of her sleeping pills
& lie unconscious in her bed,
"She crazy!"
She dies
*Laughter*.
What on earth makes this OKAY?
Someone taking their own life isn't a joke
It isn't something funny
It's serious & real.
Suicide is pain winning
It's depression knocking you down
& making you give up on everything.
Suicide isn't weakness
It isn't cowardly
It takes a lot of strength & courage
To tie that noose
To get those pills ready
To grab that blade.
It takes even more to go through with it
& if it fails
You're stuck in this cruel place
Being reminded every day
That you FAILED
You didn't commit
You attempted.
The fact that people find this funny
Sickens me
Makes me angry
How can they not see
That it's something a person feels
When they have no more left in them
To keep going forwards
How could they feel the person deserved it?
The words, "go kill yourself" make my stomach weak
Never
Should a person be told that
Under any circumstances.

A life isn't something to joke about
Nor is a death.
