Fire & Ice

by blindlover   Oct 24, 2013

You're the chilling air
that freezes Mother Earth.
Destroying everything that
makes her beautiful.

Feigning ignorance to
the pain caused and
neglecting her passion-
oblivious to her strength.

The time has come,
the moment she's been waiting for.
Breaking free from layers of ice-
a gasping breath, barely alive.

Gaining stamina, she takes a
strong stance against her
opponent.

An ember sets fire rendering
her limbs and burning the
wintery snow. Ashes blanket
the fire, planting a bountiful
supply of life to the beauty
that once was.

Lightning strikes down,
the calm before the storm.
A whirlwind of vendetta-
with a gracious approach,
creates a desolate landscape.

Bringing forth the rain, to
nourish her dehydrated core.
Finally, she can let the light
conceal darkness, and
grow without limitations.
