Bullying

"Freak"
"Slut"
"Emo"

I've heard it all by now
from the people trying to scar others
so they can feel better about themselves.

Do they not notice how much
damage they cause people?
Or do they just not care?

With every word they speak
against me is another knife
to my heart scarring it until it
becomes unrecognizable.

The words they say keep me
up at night, questioning
whether they are right or not.

I've come to believe they're
right about everything, because if it wasn't true
why would so many say it?

Name after name
they call me.
Bruising me with every insult.

How can pushing someone down
make them feel better about themselves?
What kind of sick satisfaction
do they get from hurting people's self esteem?

I remember every word, every insult,
thrown at me carved into my heart
as a reminder that I do not fit in.

"Block them out" I tell myself
so I can make it through the day,
but it never works.

No matter what I do, people always
find ways to criticize me and insult me.
It gets rather tiring.

I wish it would all stop,
the bullying, the people, the pain,
Everything.

We all know that this problem is getting worse and worse. Just hold on hun, people do still love out there.

As to the piece nice job though it is a little long and blandish or maybe just a little to simple. It gets blurred amd lost with the millions of others of its kind. I know you write to vent and don't really care, but if you change your mind its here.

I love you, sweetie, keep your head up for me? Pass thar on to the others?

A very relatable poem, I think. So many people get bullied and while it is often viewed as 'teasing' or something similar, it can be hurtful and damage a person's self-esteem.

This poem feels very personal... I hope you are ok. Don't listen to them, people are always trying to find faults in anything they see as different.

If you ever want someone to talk to, feel free to message me.
